Still Run is the new album from Brooklyn, NY based alternative band Wet, and is the follow up to the band’s critically acclaimed debut album Don’t You from 2016.
Still Run shows Wet with a more upbeat and pop driven sound than their debut. The band’s new sound and new outlook, is informed by lead singer and songwriter Kelly Zutrau taking more creative control of the project. Much of Wet's shift stems from Zutrau's more forceful vocals, which allow her direct, yet poetic lyrics to resonate more deeply, and which leap out of the sunnier production. Producers like Rostam (Haim, Solange), Andrew Sarlo (Big Thief), and John Hill (Santigold, M.I.A.) assisted primary producer and Wet band member Joe Valle, who brings a new comfort level to his production style, presenting dark lyrics in a brighter way that highlights their innate intensity and lets Zutrau's songwriting shine. "There are a million ways to make a good song sound good," she says. "But what matters to me most in the end are the vocal, and the songwriting, and whatever serves those best."
Wet is recognized for their deeply-hued emotional pop, well documented by the New York Times, Spin, and NPR among many others. Rolling Stone noted that Wet “set themselves apart with music that combines the elegant ache of Nineties R&B with the raw honesty of indie pop…”. Still Run is a testament to taking that control and pursuing one's artistic vision—and it also shows how any hiccups that might crop up along the way can make the vision's eventual realization more satisfying.

A band intuitively connected to great, homespun British pop, “Palo Santo” announces Years & Years’ ascension to the world stage, through an escapist futuristic fantasia created by Olly Alexander. A once-in-a-generation frontman who understands more than most his responsibility as a pop star, his personal leap forward in scope and ambition is reflected in the album’s colorful mix of collaborators, which range from Greg Kurstin, Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter to Steve Mac and Sarah Hudson.
On the group's sixth album, Passwords, inspiration pulls guitarist/ singer Taylor Goldsmith, drummer Griffin Goldsmith, bassist Wylie Gelber, and keyboardist Lee Pardini into their most universal, topical territory to date. This is a record about the modern world: the relationships that fill it, the politics that divide it, the small victories and big losses that give it shape. Taylor's writing is personal at points - the result of his recent engagement, which lends a sense of gravity and self-reflection to album highlights like "Time Flies Either Way" and "I Can't Love" - but it also zooms out, focusing not on the director himself, but on everything within the lens.

My head feels like it is exploding with the amount of information we are forced to consume on a daily basis, and how that information is so DISTORTED there is almost no longer any tangible truth,” says James. “The name of my new record is UNIFORM DISTORTION because I feel like there is this blanket distortion on society/media and the way we gather our ‘news and important information. More and more of us are feeling lost and looking for new ways out of this distortion and back to the truth…and finding hope in places like the desert where I write this now...finding hope in the land and in the water and in old books offering new ideas and most importantly in each other and love.

No Shame is Lily Allen's most personal, insightful and fully-formed record to date. It includes lead song "Trigger Bang" featuring Giggs, which The Guardian describes as, "a return to the melancholic pop that made her so intriguing."
Working with collaborators Fryars, Mark Ronson, Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig, Burna Boy, P2J and Cass Lowe to create No Shame, Lily says her goal was to make an album that is "as truthful as possible." Speaking about the sense of catharsis that came with making the album, she says, "I believe that we as humans work through things by talking about them, and that's what making music is for me. It's sharing things that you hope are going to connect with people, not that are going to connect with algorithms."

Whether it's their collaboration with the legendary producer Rick Rubin, kudos from the likes of Zane Lowe and the BBC, or a string of memorable performances from the hills of Glastonbury to the deserts of Coachella, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter siblings Henry and Rupert Stansall, known by their amalgam-created moniker Ruen Brothers, are making a mark with throwback rock and roll sound that intersects the early days of the genre with a dynamic present day act. The two have gone from sleepy English steel town obscurity to craft-smiths.
DOWNEY TO LUBBOCK was born by immaculate inspiration from live shows Grammy winner Dave Alvin and Grammy nominee Jimmie Dale Gilmore performed together in 2017. Just the two of them were swapping songs and cutting up, each with a guitar and a heart full of soul, musicians who ve been on the road their entire adult lives. The result is an album of blues, rock and folk inspired tunes that both of their fans will enjoy. The album contains 12 songs - 10 covers and two originals - and is destined to be a classic Americana album from two Americana legends.
2018 collaboration between the singer/songwriter and actress/vocalist, and follow up to their 2009 album ‘Break Up’. Comprised of 5 new recordings, including the single “Bad Dreams” (a cover of Brooklyn-based band The Echo Friendly’s “Worried”), and a new version of “Tomorrow” (previously featured on Yorn’s 2014 album ‘ArrangingTime’). “If Break Up was dealing with an unraveling relationship, Apart is dealing with the aftermath,” Yorn explains. “It acknowledges the array of heavy emotions that come up living separate lives. You’re getting used to the idea of not being with someone who has been a big part of your life.” Scarlett Johansson adds, “Being able to revisit this project with Pete in a totally different context but within the same creative parameters is a unique artistic opportunity for me.”
Acclaimed as one of the most iconic records in rock and roll history, Paul Simon's GRAMMY-winning 1986 album Graceland has received a special 2018 reworking, with the likes of MK, Richy Ahmed, Paul Oakenfold, and Groove Armada all spinning their own unique interpretations across the release - the first time a classic album has been reimagined in its entirety.
Vinyl LP pressing. 2018 release. Twenty-eight years ago, pissed-off twelve-year-olds around the universe discovered a new planet, a Black Planet. Public Enemy's aggressive, Benihana beats and incendiary lyrics instilled fear among parents and teachers everywhere, even in the border town of Laredo, Texas, home of the future founders of the Latin-Funk-Soul-Breaks super group, Brownout. The band's sixth full-length album Fear of a Brown Planet is a musical manifesto inspired by Public Enemy's music and revolutionary spirit. Chuck D., the Bomb Squad, Flava Flav and the rest of the P.E. posse couldn't possibly have expected that their golden-era hip hop albums would sow the seeds for countless Public Enemy sleeper cells, one that would emerge nearly three decades later in Austin, Texas. Translating sample-based music to a live band turned out to be more of a challenge than they anticipated. Coming off numerous tours as Brown Sabbath and even a stint backing the late legend Prince, Brownout is arguably the tightest and funkiest band on the road today and they're psyched to bring this revolutionary music to the people. For a band without an overt political agenda, they collectively couldn't resist the opportunity to play this music live, especially now.
Produced by Grammy award-winning producer, engineer & mixer John Congleton - who has worked with everyone from St. Vincent to Modest Mouse, Amanda Palmer to Laurie Anderson and Brian Wilson to The War on Drugs - at L.A.'s famed Sunset Sound, Spring captures that eclecticism.

Eight-time GRAMMY award winning musician and reggae icon Ziggy Marley will release his seventh full-length solo studio album, Rebellion Rises on May 18th through Tuff Gong Worldwide. Fully written, recorded and produced by Marley, this passionate and indelible new collection of music encourages people to stand together in activism through love. "The rebellion begins in the mind, the melody, and the music," assures Ziggy. "We are a conduit of that. The rebellion is consciousness. Now the consciousness starts spreading, we become aware and we rise." No track embodies this message better than the album's title track and official first single "Rebellion Rises." A manifesto with a chant-like chorus, the song emboldens it's listeners to use the power we all have as instruments of positive change around the world. "The better side of humanity, cannot let the side of humanity that push negativity and hatred be more willing," Marley explained in a recent interview. "It cannot happen. It's a battle of wills. We've got to have more will." Rebellion Rises marks Ziggy's first studio release in two years, following 2016's critically acclaimed self-titled project which took home the 2016 GRAMMY® award for Best Reggae Album and marked his fourth consecutive debut at #1 on the Billboard Top Reggae Album Chart.
Following the success of his multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated debut album, Chaos & The Calm, James Bay to release highly anticipated album, Electric Light, on 5/18 via Republic Records. “Try to keep it as plain spoken as possible…” those are some of the first words the viewer hears in Plain Spoken: From The Chicago Theatre. A self-narrated musical journey, the film encapsulates the sound and soul of John Mellencamp. Stepping outside the boundaries of a concert film or documentary, Plain Spoken blends highly personal voice-overs from Mellencamp with live footage of him performing with his full band at the historic Chicago Theatre, just 250 miles from his native Indiana. He tells us the story of his Midwestern upbringing, the trials, turns and triumphs of his career, and his overall outlook on life while the music plays, supporting his stories. The result is the essence of John Mellencamp, delivered fully on-screen.
In addition to the full film with Mellencamp’s commentary, this audio visual release offers a “non-commentary” option (available in the Main Menu) in which viewers can watch the concert on its own. The audio visual set is completed with a component CD of concert audio. The set, which includes special guest Carlene Carter, showcases Mellencamp performing his most cherished songs. “Small Town,” “Minutes To Memories,” “Pop Singer,” “Cherry Bomb,” “Longest Days,” “Authority Song,” and “Pink Houses” are just some of the gems cherry-picked from his brilliant catalogue, as well as including songs from his most recent album Sad Clowns And Hillbillies.
With a career spanning more than 35 years, John Mellencamp has elevated his legacy from pop star to one of the most highly-respected songwriters of a generation. A GRAMMY winner, member of the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, and Songwriters Hall Of Fame nominee (among many other accolades), he has achieved a total of 22 Top 40 hits in addition to earning the record for the “Most #1 tracks by a solo artist on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks” chart.

Life is Good on the Open Road is the welcome return that the group's legions of passionate fans have been waiting for. Led by the songwriting of lead singer Dave Simonett, the new songs touch on key elements from the entire spectrum of Trampled By Turtles body of work, while creating something that sounds fresh and invigorated. Simonett, and bandmates Erik Berry, Ryan Young, Dave Carroll, Tim Saxhaug and Eamonn McLain reunited at a cabin in the Minnesota woods to see if the special chemistry they once shared still existed. It did not take long for the magic to reveal itself with an invigorated sense of purpose and the result shines brightly on Life is Good on the Open Road.
MATT and KIM’s sixth studio album ALMOST EVERYDAY includes guest vocals from the band’s friends including Mark Hoppus, Clairo, King Tuff, Flosstradamus, Santigold and more. Known for their infectious, beat-driven anthems and explosive live shows, this new album breaks the silence after a year-long break from touring and 2016’s WE WERE THE WEIRDOS – a surprise 4-track EP produced during the week between the band’s two performances at Coachella. Out now on FADER Label.
Sooner than most, Parker Millsap has learned to trust the process. Now four albums in at the ripe age of 24, the Oklahoma-born singer-songwriter has earned the chance to live his life as a professional musician. His work has been hailed by global audiences and industry alike while taking him to esteemed stages around the world. His three prior full-length releases -- 2012's Palisade, 2014's self-titled LP, and 2016's The Very Last Day -- showcased a primal mastery of acoustic folk rock, with their flourish for revelation and fiery dynamics, all recorded with extreme precision, purpose, and efficiency. But as he began work last year on his new album, Other Arrangements, Millsap opted for a change, allowing himself the time and space to let the work evolve in a new and distinct light. The result is his most accessible collection of songs to date, as Other Arrangements is filled with tunes whose inspiration trades divinity for ubiquity -- and some you can even dance to.

THE ROAD OF ROCK is a rocky road, and no one’s life exemplifies that more thoroughly than that of Derek Albion Smalls who celebrates his 75th birthday with a hoped-to-be triumphant return to at least one of the echelons of the rock firmament. Derek went on to acquire the cov- eted position of bass player in the legendary rock band “Spinal Tap”, from the 1984 Rockumentary “This Is Spinal Tap” Smalls makes hi return to the music world with this new record- ing. Guest artists on the album include Jeff “Skunk” Baxter (Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers) Gregg Bissonette, Larry Carlton, David Crosby, Donald Fagen (Steely Dan) Taylor Hawkins, Jim Keltner, Danny (Kootch) Kortchmar, Russ Kunkel, Michael League (Snarky Puppy), Jane Lynch (actress/singer), Steve Lukather (Toto), Judith Owen Snarky Puppy Horns Joe Satriani, Paul Shaffer (David Letterman, SNL, etc.) Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Richard Thompson, Steve Vai, Waddy Wachtel, Rick Wakeman (Yes) Phil X Dweezil Zappa.
Pigeonholing Blackberry Smoke has never been easy. Since emerging from Atlanta in the early ‘00s, the quintet – vocalist/lead guitarist Charlie Starr, guitarist/vocalist Paul Jackson, bassist/vocalist Richard Turner, drummer Brit Turner and keyboardist Brandon Still – has become known for a singular sound indebted to classic rock, blues, country and folk. Find A Light, Blackberry Smoke’s sixth studio album, doubles down on diversity. Songs hew toward easygoing roots-rock (“Run Away From It All”) and Southern rock stomps (“The Crooked Kind”), as well as stripped-down acoustic numbers (“I’ve Got This Song”) and bruising alt-country (“Nobody Gives A Damn”). Rich instrumental flourishes – keening fiddle, solemn organ and bar-band piano boogie – add further depth and resonance.
No Mercy In This Land is a blues record. Charlie Musselwhite and Ben Harper were introduced to one another by John Lee Hooker. The legendary musician thought the two men should play together, so he brought them into the studio to record a song called simply “Burnin’ Hell.” The two remained friends and their paths periodically crossed out there on the road. But it wasn’t until 2013 that the two met up in a studio to record what would be their Grammy winning album Get Up!. And as good as that record was, it was just the beginning. Both men agree that their friendship deepened in the many months of touring that followed. And it’s that bond, that closeness, that makes this new record something special. At first glance, Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite might seem an unlikely pairing. While Ben grew up in in the tree lined Southern California college town of Claremont, a bastion of culture and liberalism just east of Los Angeles, Charlie was raised in Memphis during the time of rockabilly and Sun Records. But while the two might have come to their musical knowledge in different eras and places, as Charlie explains, “We were both searchers and we’re still seeking.” Each of them possess an enduring hunger for musical knowledge that came to them early.
